Beard, Picasso and Leyendecker
I made these a while ago, when I was trying to do a Picasso series. I never finished them because the men produced this way didn’t feel very Picasso. But of course, I also prompted for a lot of other things that are not seen in Picasso’s work. I just tried this prompt again today and the results are very similar.
As I’ve written previously, I always add Leyendecker to my Midjourney renders, mostly to stylistically move the men to the leaner side. It’s a way to adjust the body type without having too much of his color palette.
In the interests of making #gayaiart more accessible, I will try to post full prompts more often. So here’s the full prompt for these paintings:
handsome french muscular man, trimmed beard, bald, bodybuilder, in the style of picasso, primary colors, red, blue, yellow, black, white, vibrant colors :: j. c. leyendecker::0.2
The text ::
in Midjourney is how you’d add weights to the prompt. In this case, it means to treat everything in the prompt with a weight of 1, while giving a 0.2 influence of Leyendecker in the mix.
I use primary colors — specifically red, blue, yellow, black, and white as a subtle way to insert Bauhaus without having the engine pick up the Bauhaus geometric forms. Using the word vibrant colors
ensures that the colors are not muted.
Minimal color correction in Adobe Lightroom applied, mostly to adjust tonal balance and shadow detail.
