Character Design
I discovered a new toy yesterday for Stable Diffusion. Named CharTurnerV2, it’s a textual inversion model that allows you to easily create a character sheet of the same character, wearing the same outfit, and looking at it from different angles. In traditional workflow, 3D artists will then take this 2D image as a template, and create 3D models for final development.
Using Virile Fusion as the checkpoint model, I made a bunch of men based on characters that are commonly depicted in my AI works.
All of these use the same prompt, except how I describe the characters. Sometimes it adds these interesting artifacts like color chips and facial expression thumbs which are typically found in character design sheets.

Greek God, Apollo, God of War
Apollo, God of War, Character Design, Stable Diffusion Lab with CharTurnerV2.
Originally, I made some based on Zeus, but I didn’t really like how this model depicts Zeus — not as much as how Midjourney does it anyway. So I switched to using Apollo instead, which would make more sense with the metal armor, barefoot-ish. So nice to work in SD and not have to dance around MJ’s reluctance of rendering “loin cloth”. The feet turned out nicely also, though some could definitely use some tweaks.

Fireman
I tried Construction Worker at first, but it’s hard to standardize a universal outfit, so I decided on firemen. You don’t see many of them on my Instagram, but they are one of my primary subjects when I started using AI to create men.

Hunter / Archer
I knew from the get-go that this might not work, since AI engines have always been terrible with bows and arrows, but decided to try it anyway.
This is a character that I talked about with @academieatelier a while ago when he asked me what I’d like to see. The character is a hunter in the 1700-1800s who hunts animals in the woods in his leisure. I’ve tried some variations with Midjourney every now and then but never quite liked the results, so why not in Stable Diffusion also.
He wears an outfit made in leather, with leather straps and intricate detail, accessories. I also added some fur during the process, as trophies from his previous hunts. The character I had in mind originally wears leather in black only, but I realized that there’s a lot of black and white here already, so ultimately decided to give him a slight Robin Hood twist for some color.
