Adam lounged in the lush garden, his bronzed skin glistening in the dappled sunlight. Paradise was perfect, but sometimes, he felt a gnawing emptiness. That is, until the day Steve arrived.
Steve was everything Adam didn’t know he needed - strong, curious, and with eyes that sparkled like the clearest streams in Eden. They became inseparable, exploring every inch of their verdant home.
One day, as they picnicked beneath the Tree of Knowledge, a serpent slithered down, its scales shimmering hypnotically.
“Why deny yourselves the most delicious fruit in the garden?” it hissed, its forked tongue flicking towards the gleaming apple hanging just out of reach.
Steve‘s hand twitched, but Adam caught it. “We’re not supposed to,” he whispered, though his eyes betrayed his curiosity.
“But think of the wisdom you’d gain,“ the serpent coaxed. “You could understand love in all its forms. Why should anyone dictate who or how you should love?”
Steve plucked the apple, its skin cool against his palm. He offered it to Adam, their fingers brushing. “Together?” he asked.
Adam hesitated, torn between obedience and desire. The apple gleamed, promising knowledge, freedom, and a deeper connection with Steve. But at what cost?
As he reached for the fruit, Adam wondered: Was this forbidden wisdom worth risking paradise for? Or was true paradise found in the courage to choose one‘s own path?
