Mechanical Blueprint 2, Prelude 2 to Vibrant Beginnings
I had a typo in the original mechanical blueprint render, so obviously the first thing to do is to correct the prompt with the correct spelling. But I usually try to do more in my prompts. I like to insert topics that I do like in my works, so here’s where prompt expansion happens.
- Add tattoos. Gives visual interests.
- Leather pants. Personal preference.
- Text annotations. More visual reference elements.
- Paragraphs. Typographic visual texture.
- White lily. I love flowers and men.
- Biology textbook. Make the flowers look a certain way.
- Sacred Geometry. Influence the diagram style.
Modern models don’t require excessive negative prompts. You should just use things you don’t want to see. These four words are things I tend to put in all of my prompts. Some of these are out of habits. I rarely put “muscular” in positive now. Sometimes you’ll get better results by putting things you don’t want instead.
For the technical side of things:
- When using Turbo XL models, put the CFG in 1-3 range.
- For Vibrant Horizon, I have the best results with CFG 2.5-3. 8-12 steps.
- I prefer Euler a for speed.
- ADetailer at 4 steps is enough.
- AD at 512x512 is more than enough.
These images were rendered on my Mac M2 Max 96 GB, so speed for quality is my top priority. If I render these on the 4090 in the cloud, then I likely would use DPM++ SDE Karras as the sampler. Euler a in generally is very good so I don’t see a need to use something else.
Even if you render regular SDXL and not Turbo, 30 steps Euler A is quite impressive. I’ve been working on a collaboration project with a friend right now where we predefine that we must use SDXL 30 steps Euler A for everything, and it really impresses me.
