Flower Abstract Kiss
A while back, someone mentioned to me that gay couples don’t really get the representation they deserve in the media. They believe that’s why gay men might not be so gung-ho about settling down and tying the knot. I’m not sure how accurate that is, but I do agree that we don’t see enough gay couples who are head over heels in love. So, I’ve taken it upon myself to give them more visibility with my Kiss series.
Technical Details
Now, let’s get into my workflow. I used a single Shuffle control net for these renders. Basically, I removed the Reference Only control net from RefShuffle and stuck with the Shuffle control net. The Shuffle control net is all about determining the style of the artwork, while the Reference control net helps shape the composition of the objects. Since my main focus is on the flowers and I want the figures to form organically within the artwork, I decided to ditch the Reference Only control net.
In a similar vein to the RefShuffle workflow, the text prompt is the star in this flow. The highlight of the prompt is that it draws strong inspiration from John Singer Sargent’s oil paintings by giving it a strong weight (1.4). I dressed the figures in clothes with flower prints that reflect the actual flowers in the field. To really bring out those flower colors, I used a photo of a flower field as the image source for the Shuffle control net.
The results are these beautiful abstract compositions featuring flowers and gay lovers. Stylistically, it’s a mix between super realistic 3D rendering and an oil painting. The 3D render look comes from using the Midjourney flower image with a photorealistic 3D render technique. Even though the text prompt called for an oil painting, the Shuffle control net gave it this unique in-between style that I absolutely adore.
