Knolling Series
- 1Men
Knolling is an organizational method in which items are arranged at 90-degree angles, creating a visually pleasing, symmetrical display. This technique, popular in fields like photography, design, and marketing, highlights each item's individual details while creating an overall harmonious aesthetic.
I made these a while ago (around May 2023), just for fun. Often I have these sparks of interesting ideas and would make hundreds of renders, but then I stopped myself from posting them because I don’t have anything interesting to say about them besides I had fun making them.
But as I go through things that I could post @gaydefiance, my new Instagram account which will serve as a brain dump, I ran into these old renders with Midjourney. There’s a set that looks interesting enough. Might as well post them.

Hackers / Nerd
If you know me IRL (in-real-life), then you’ll recognize that this is my self-portrait. The man depicted does not look like me, but everything about him — the jeans, the sneakers, the computers, the camera lenses, are 100% me. Even the density of this stuff is so me.
These are laid out to tell a story (that’s what knolling is), but I can’t say that my physical space is not far off. I just have too much stuff, neatly packed. Orderly or not. Thus explains the Chaos series. Now you understand why.

Apollo
In Greek mythology, Apollo is known as the God of music, truth and prophecy, healing, sun and light, plague, poetry, and more. He is often depicted as a handsome, beardless youth with long hair, holding a lyre, bow and arrows, and symbolizing the ideal of kouros (youthful male beauty)
These started as a series of men with specific occupations, but then I extended it into subject matters that I typically depict in my AI works. If you’re familiar with my main line of works, you know that I often depict Greek gods in different contexts. Apollo is one of them. It’s certainly interesting to see him in a knolling context.
