Sacred Geometry Series

Using historical geometric forms as a structural foundation for male figure compositions. Whereas Da Vinci explored ideal body proportions with Vitruvian Man, I use the geometric forms as a foundational grid to layout the composition of the figure. When imagined with the Canny control net inside Stable Diffusion, the joints of the figures correspond to the intersections of the geometric forms, thus creating a unique visual language and structure throughout the series.

Metatron's Cube is a sacred geometric pattern that consists of 13 circles connected by straight lines, forming a complex interlocking design. It is believed to represent the underlying structure of the universe, symbolizing balance, harmony, and the interconnectedness of all things.

I’m about half through my post-processing of the Sacred Geometry series. The choice for angels as the subject matter is not random.

Metatron’s Cube is associated with the archangel Metatron, who is said to oversee the celestial hierarchy and act as a bridge between the divine and human realms. It is believed that this geometric pattern holds a deep spiritual significance and symbolizes the angelic presence and guidance in our lives.

And that’s why I chose to use the language of the stars connected with blue lines, the visual language typically seen in star charts, to tie everything together.

Control nets are employed to give compositional structure across the images of the set as well as within the series.

Some of these images depict a single figure in multiple poses. They’re intentional. I debated whether to show that as my first image because I could already sense the comments about it being “wrong, must be an AI thing” — yet if I kept on self-censoring for fear of these comments then I will keep on posting the worst work first. So I chose to start with this image. The superimposed poses are intended to apply the philosophical ideals of cubism in photorealistic works — stacking a series of timelapse elements together to suggest motion within a still to depict time.
