Sacred Geometry Series

Using historical geometric forms as a structural foundation for male figure compositions. Whereas Da Vinci explored ideal body proportions with Vitruvian Man, I use the geometric forms as a foundational grid to layout the composition of the figure. When imagined with the Canny control net inside Stable Diffusion, the joints of the figures correspond to the intersections of the geometric forms, thus creating a unique visual language and structure throughout the series.

The Seed of Life is a sacred geometric pattern consisting of seven overlapping circles. It symbolizes the interconnectedness of all living things and the potential for growth and creation. Through its intricate design, it represents the fundamental blueprint of the universe and the origin of life itself.

I incorporate numerous symbols and metaphors into my artwork, purposefully leaving them open to interpretation. Symbology loses its enchantment when explicitly explained, and often ideas cannot be adequately conveyed through words alone due to their inherent limitations. If you happen to recognize these symbols, rest assured they are intentionally placed. If they remain unseen by you, they may not be meant for your interpretation, and even if I were to disclose their meaning, it may not make a difference.

To generate these images, I employed Stable Diffusion with three control nets. The initial control net is Shuffle, which involves providing a pre-prepared image containing my desired color palette, as well as the desired expression of line and brush strokes for rendering the images.

Next, I created an illustration of the Seed of Life within Adobe Illustrator, which was subsequently exported as a 1024x1024 PNG file. This image then serves as the driving force for two additional control nets. The first one, Line Art, incorporates the actual drawing into the final image, while the second one, Canny, ensures that the figures align with the underlying line structure. Although these two control nets are similar in nature, it can be challenging to explain precisely why both are necessary. Feel free to experiment by using either one or both, as each performs a slightly different function while adhering to the lines I provide.
