Yet, beneath their imposing exterior, a sense of humility and respect for one another shone through, binding them in a warm brotherhood forged in the fires of combat.
I grew up watching films like Ben-Hur, yet I was never truly able to articulate why I liked them until I was much older. It might seem almost silly that I wouldn‘t know, but I just always assumed that I just loved history. I do like history — but it’s obvious now that I’m older that there are additional relevance of why I love ancient Rome and Greek mythology, as well as all the paintings and sculptures that go with them.
