Whereas paintings from the previous set, “Lilies and Butterflies” were intentionally made to not look like @m.a.j.i.c.t, since I was not entirely sure if he would be comfortable with me using his likeness, he said that he would be ok with that. I showed him a sketch of a painting that looked almost the same of his original photo, but I thought — why not do something more?
In my original set, I used flowers that are meaningful to me — Lily, Orchards, and Tulips. For this set, since it’s really about him, I used flowers that are meaningful to him — Lunaria annua (Honesty), Lupinus (lupin, lupine), Rose, Jasmine, Alkanet (Pentaglottis sempervirens), Roselle, Wild Geranium. I was only able to do that because he has added the relevant tags. Thank you!
