It’s been forever since I have posted from the Construction Series. The last time I made anything with the Construction theme was in June — that’s four months ago. But I haven’t forgotten about it. It’s an important series for me.
Most of you didn’t know this, but most of the works from the Construction series were made with a very specific list of artists that I have perfected over time. This is why even though I have used it through multipole Midjourney versions, the style of the series remained relatively consistent. The reason that I originally looked into Stable Diffusion was to see if I could have much less content restriction while applying that same style from Midjourney. That never happened, unfortuanately, but finally it did.
Earlier in September, I tried to use Replicate to fine-tune the SDXL using 30 images from the Construction series. That created the gdmjp4 style, which is the basis for the Chaos paintings.
The issue with using Replicate is that they are somewhat locked into the ecosystem.
Recently, as BrawnyAI has been addicted with SDXL LoRA training, he offered to take that set of images and made a series of LoRAs trained at different epochs for me. I was testing the harness LoRA a couple of days ago, and decided to do more of it.
I will be posting my results gradually. I have been tweaking prompts for so many hours that I ended up with 1000 source images. I have no plans to post them all in a single sitting, so here are the first 10 images from the series.
